Easter Weekend - late post

Day one of Easter weekend....

Easter weekend was VERY busy around our neck of the woods!  On Saturday, my family came over to the house, which means Saturday morning was hands full of lysol, paper towels, windex, and any other cleaning product.  I usually clean the house every Saturday morning.  It's my routine.  But for some reason I felt there was more pressure as the family was headed over and there was a deadline!  Normally my home is dusted, vacuumed, mopped, sheets washed, I wash down cabinet doors, etc... and I get it done by about 10 am.  But with a "I want this house to be perfect for company", I even washed baseboards.  Yes, I have OCD.  :o)

So, we had a feast of ham, green beans, macaroni and cheese, deviled eggs (thanks Kate and John!) and two desserts consisting of Chess bars (thanks Mama!) and Indoor s'mores (Thanks Kevin and Leslie)!  It was scrumptious!  At least I thought so!  There was a little Easter egg hunt, and the weather eas perfect, not too warm, not too cold!  Here are some pictures from that day I want to share!

My stove with pans of macaroni and cheese, and what is left of a ham bone.

My niece's plate with ham, green beans and plenty of 'Roni Cheese" (that's how she says it)!`

While I was cleaning the bathroom right across from Rose's bedroom, I put her in her glider, with her Boppy surrounding her.  No worries, it took me FOREVER to clean a pretty small bathroom because I kept looking back at her.  She just talked and ood and ahhd at her little baby doll.

She loved it!!!  Baby doll has a rattle in her, and someimtes she would grab that doll and shake it to pieces!  Then it would be followed by a giggle.

Rose sitting in her daddy's boat.  Mamaw picked out Rose's outfit.  White little dress with polkadots!

Easter egg hunt and adults conversing.  Love it!

More Easter egg hunt.  It was a fun time, and I think in the end I was glad it was over for the mere fact of I didn't really sleep the night before thinking of all that had to be done!  But, I would do it again tomorrow.  I love my family.

Day 2 of Easter Weekend - AKA Easter Sunday.

Wow - did I want to get out of bed in the morning?  Ummm... NO!  I was still exhausted!  Ha!  We went to my in-laws house on Easter Sunday.  Rose wore her Easter Dress.  I baked a cake, made some frosting, and of course there were sprinkles...  however in the rush of getting evertything baked and cleaned up and back to normal from the day before, I failed to photograph that.

At my husband's parents' house, there was a feast including Ham, Fried Chicken, baked beans, potato salad, more deviled eggs and pasta salad.  There was a TON of food!  But, we had a good time!  There was an Easter egg hunt, but Rose was napping!  Here are some rcorded moments of that day...

Rose in her with Easter dress with Pink roses coving it!  How appropriate!

"So this is what a Easter egg looks like?"

Nap time....

This is what she does when she wakes up...  I melt Every. Simgle. Time.

Her eye-hand coordination is improving everyday!  And she loved to try to grab the Easter decoration!

If my husband knew I put this up on here, he probably wouldn't like it too much so this will be our little secret.  I mean, he is totally wrapped around this little girls' finger...  he know it, but won't admit it!

I know it's a very long post, and I totally photo-bombed on this post.  But life has been a little crazy lately, and I have a lot of catching up to do.  So thanks for bearing with me while I share our store!

Thank you for visiting!
Mary
